Brandon Rush Biography - Indiana Pacers Brandon Rush Biography - Brandon Rush BioBrandon Rush was born on July 7, 1985. Brandon Rush was an American basketball player. Brandon Rush was drafted in 2008 by the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, only to be traded minutes later to the Indiana Pacers. Brandon Rush played for the University of Kansas in college for three seasons, including the 2007-2008 national championship team. Brandon Rush was selected as a Wooden Award All-American in 2007 and again in 2008 while a player at the Kansas Jayhawks. Brandon Rush is brothers with former UCLA guard JaRon Rush and former Missouri and NBA guard Kareem Rush.

Brandon Rush started at the small forward position in each game that season. Rush led the Jayhawks in scoring (13.5 points per game), rebounding (5.9) and three point shooting percentage (47.2%). Brandon Rush was instrumental in the team's Big 12 Conference championship run and was elected the conference Freshman of the Year. Brandon Rush bio also said that he was the first freshman ever to be named to the First Team All-Big 12. His size (6'6" and 212 lbs) combined with his athleticism and shooting touch makes him extremely difficult to defend on the college level. Brandon Rush is also the younger brother of current NBA player Kareem Rush and former UCLA Bruins player JaRon Rush. Brandon Rush entered the 2006-07 season as a potential candidate for NCAA Player of the Year. Brandon Rush was selected as the preseason Co-Player of the Year in the Big 12, along with fellow teammate Julian Wright.

Brandon Rush was named to USA Today's 2004-05 Preseason Super 25 while at Mount Zion [N.C.] Academy. Brandon Rush bio states he averaged 21 points, six rebounds and five assists per game. Brandon Rush was named to the 2005 adidas Derby Festival Basketball Classic. Brandon Rush was a two-time all-state selection while in high school.
